Statement of faith

Christianity is not about textual evidence, philosophy, lifestyles, or a book – it is a revelation of the one True living loving God. It transcends time, space, matter, energy, and complete understanding much like our Creator. In the end, it results in a show of charis (grace) that reconciles our broken condition under sin that begets a wholesale transformation into the body of Christ founded upon a relationship with our heavenly Father. No set of facts will close this gap in our minds because God’s Spirit is what calls our hearts to respond to His grace. However, we do have sufficient evidence for an intelligent informed faith.

It should be noted that Christianity is a religion based upon a relationship, not knowledge. It is a religion of faith not logic though it often can be found along logic’s path. The information provided in this site is meant to help answer skeptics’ questions and reaffirm believers’ faith, but ultimately you must believe in the gospel accounts of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ and the claims of Jesus that we are sinners and we need a savior. That is just the beginning of a wonderful challenging (sometimes uneasy) journey that is known as – Christian (Christ-centred living).

Our God is the Triune God of the Father, of the Son of the Holy Spirit, the True and Unique God of “I AM WHO I AM”. He is the Creator of the Universe and the One and only True God to be worshipped.

Our Lord Jesus is the Only Begotten Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary and He was the Incarnate Word. He is both fully God and fully Man. He was crucified and died on the cross for the sin of the world and His blood became the fulfillment of the Law of God. He rose again and ascended into Heaven and became the Mediator between God and man. He will come again according to His Promise to judge the living and the dead. Those who have died will be resurrected and the believers will inherit the eternal life while the non-believers will be condemned.

The Holy Spirit is the Comforter who inspires, touches and indwells the hearts of the believers so as to enable them to do God’s Will.

The sixty-six books that make up the Old and the New Testaments of the Holy Bible, as originally constituted, are all inspired by God and absolutely correct and infallible. The Bible is thus the only standard on which a believers’ life is based.

We all fall short of the glory of God since our first ancestor Adam sinned against God. Therefore we must repent and believe in God to be saved; otherwise we should receive punishment in hell. Our Lord Jesus Christ died for the sin of the world. The atonement of His precious blood is the foundation of our eternal salvation. Anyone who confesses with his mouth that Jesus Christ is his Savior and believes in his heart that God raised Him from the dead will be saved. Salvation is the complete work of the Trinity from beginning to end. Man is the only the recipient of this gift bestowed upon the elect by God’s grace (unmerited favour).

The Church is established by Christ who is her Head. The church is comprised of regenerated saints. The saints of the Church must fulfill their obligations as they are collectively a holy priesthood.
